Erin Knerr

After four years of homeschooling her own children, Erin Knerr is excited to join the formal teaching community at St Paul, where Christ’s love is central. Erin’s experience with children spans from early childhood to the teen years. She has worked formally in intervention for teens, as a live-in nanny for 3 boys, and as a preschool teacher at a respite for medically fragile children (Daystar). Her years working for adults with developmental disabilities at Heritage Christian services have lent to her medical and behavioral knowledge as well. She received a certificate in Biblical Ministry from Word of Life Bible College in 2012, and while the aforementioned human services have comprised the bulk of her work experience, she kept a very beloved job as a manager at Sunscape Farms for 7 years as well.
This said, you won’t be surprised that she is a “plant lady”, running a veggie stand from her front yard during the season, and often found barefoot in a sunhat. Erin is also an artist and enjoys when she can fill in for the Art department at St Paul. She has known Christ as savior for over 20 years but will be the first to tell you that her love for God doesn’t make her perfect! She serves as a leader in her current church’s children’s ministry, and has been joyfully serving in children’s ministry for as long as she can remember. Her desire is to gracefully show people that God is truth and can be trusted. It is a privilege for her to now be serving the youngest minds at St Paul as the Lead Early Start teacher and one of the 3s Preschool teachers.
She and her husband live in Gates, NY with their two children and are as (k)nerdy and fun as their last name (Knerr) implies.
