Jessica has been a member of the staff here at St. Paul for two years. She received her Associate Degree in Adolescent Education from MCC in 2008. Currently, she is working on her BA in Childhood Inclusive Education at SUNY Brockport completing her first semester with a 4.0 GPA.
Jessica is married with two sons, Jonah and Elijah, both of whom attend St. Paul School. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and hiking (especially in the Adirondack area) and she is extremely interested in the process of making honey. They have friends who have beehives and she is exploring the possibility of creating hives of their own.
As to what brought Jessica to St. Paul, her story, like so many others on the team is inspiring. She knew she would like to be a Pre-K Aide, and during the time her son was attending Pre-K she inquired a couple of times only to find there was no opening. During a particularly trying time in her life, having been diagnosed with an auto-immune disease, she was feeling discouraged; however, something (someone) was telling her to ask Pastor Ball just one more time about the possibility of a position at St. Paul. She did so, only to receive a call shortly thereafter, from Pastor with the news that, indeed, there was an opening.
In her own words, Jessica wrote, “I feel like God led my family to St. Paul. It is unlike any place I have ever worked. St. Paul has been a huge blessing in our lives and I am so happy to be here.”
As for a goal, Jessica wants for each child exactly what St. Paul offers, a safe, loving environment where each child can be encouraged to work to their ability and know they are loved – by each Staff member – and especially Jesus.
