Quilts for Christ

Beginning Tuesday, January 3, Quilts for Christ and Jr. Quilters will begin again putting quilts together for LWR.

To date we have 34 quilts. If anyone wants to share great fellowship while working on a mission project, please join us. All that is required is to know how to tie a knot! If anyone wants to put quilts together at home, we would welcome that also. It's easy - just sew squares together to form a 60 x 80 quilt top. We would like to thank all the girls who worked so diligently during last year cutting, sewing and tying. We hear from LWR how much the quilts are appreciated.

The latest we heard was about the children at Arunima HIV/AIDS Hospice in India. They don't have much to call their own, so when they are given a quilt, they are all smiles. They love the colors and the warmth it gives them.

Thanks also to Adella for their money contribution and to those who do- nate fabric, crochet thread, etc. Thank you all very much.

Junior Quilters (7th graders and up) will start meeting on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays after school. Last Fall they completed a quilt which was given to a family who suffered a great loss. Any young person is welcome to participate.

Hope to see you the first Tuesday afternoon from 1 - 3 p.m. and/or the third Tuesday evening from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.

May God bless you all as we begin a New Year
